Introduction 

Altar was founded in 1990. In the beginning Altar has been supplying Billing and Customer Care solutions for telecom market. There were many projects executed during this time, including country wide ones. Delivery and implementation of billing systems for IN, Premium Rate services for TP SA or for the Ministry of National Defense - Main Communication Node were one of the most important projects for our company those days. Altars billing system Sara ®is one of the most popular on Polish telecom market. Sara ® - Billing and Customer Care System has been rewarded many times. It received a golden medal in the category software at Intertelecom Fair in Lodz in 1996. 
To meet the needs of telecom market Altar has also built another system, primary dedicated for its telecom Clients Altar Contact Center. However, nowadays this solution is successfully used in other organizations those, which must deliver excellent customer service to sell products, attract and retain accounts, and establish long-term customer loyalty, like banks. 
Altar also developed its own WorkFlow tool - Piramid. This software has been used to build Altar DocFlow and Altar HelpDesk applications. The company's headquarter is located in Kielce, Poland. Warranty and post warranty services are realized remotely from the headquarter or at the customer's premises, if required. Currently there are 70 people employed; more than 50 involved directly in software development and project realization. Most of our employees are M.Sc. E.E. graduates from Technical Universities in Warsaw, Cracow and Kielce. 

ISO certificate 

In 2001 the company introduced a quality management system and received ISO 9001:2000 certificate. This was a very important step in the company history confirming its commitment towards the highest quality of products and services offered to our customers. The certificate covers all aspects of company activities: software designing, development and services, software implementation and customer training; sales, delivery and installation of computer systems.
